Yanmar YT3 Loader Removal and Install


Removing the YT3 Loader

The YL610 loader used on Yanmar YT3 tractors can easily be removed in a few simple steps. When completing the removal, these steps should be performed with the engine running at idle, and with the bucket or another appropriate attachment on the loader frame. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Park your tractor in a stable location with level ground. Rotate the bucket until the level indicator is in the notch. Then, lower the bucket to the ground.
  2. With your bucket on the ground, slowly use the curl/dump function on the implement control lever until the mast mounting pins are loose. Remove the mast mounting pins on both sides and place them in the storage brackets.
  3. Pull the implement control lever back to the raised position. This will move the loader stand down and separates the mast assembly from the loader mount.
  4. Once the mast is free from the loader mount, ensure the tractor is in neutral, set the parking brake, and turn off the tractor. Next, relieve pressure from the hydraulic system by rotating the implement control lever. This allows the hydraulic hoses to be safely disconnected.
  5. Disconnect the hydraulic quick couplers and use a rag to clean up any residual hydraulic oil. Remember to use the color-coded caps and plugs to protect the couplers from dust, debris, and other contaminants. After disconnecting the hoses, remove them from the hose guide bracket and store on the loader frame.
  6. Start the tractor, release the parking brake, and slowly back straight out. This completes the removal of your YT3 tractor’s loader.

SAFETY REMINDER: Never climb on a disconnected loader.

Installing the YT3 Loader

Re-installing the loader on your YT3 tractor is just as easy as the removal. These are the steps you should follow:

  1. Slowly drive the tractor between the mast assembly until the base of the mast assembly touches the loader mount. Shift to neutral, set the parking brake, and turn off the tractor.
  2. Move the implement control lever to relieve hydraulic pressure. Then, reroute the hydraulic lines behind the hose guide bracket and connect the four color-coded quick connectors to the appropriate coupler and reconnect the four protective caps.
  3. Start and run the tractor at idle speed. Move the implement control lever forward until the mast fulcrum sets into the pivot and the auto-stand assembly raises.
  4. Once the holes of the mast assembly and loader bracket line up, remove the mast mounting pins from the brackets on both sides of the loader and reinstall them to their original position.
  5. Double check the loader to ensure all connections are secure and free of obstruction. Perform an operational check of the loader to verify safe and proper operation. You’ve now finished reinstalling the YT3 loader.
